Psychological Safety: Increasing Team Effectiveness

Psychological safety is a shared belief that the team is safe for interpersonal risk-taking. Team members need to feel that they are safe to take risks or speak up their minds without feeling embarrassed.

Objective

Psychological Safety: Increasing Team Effectiveness training program is designed and developed by Biztorming® to guide participants on how to build an effective team, improve collaboration and engagement. Specifically, our Lead Instructor will give you an introduction to the importance of teamwork, the impact of culture and how psychological safety becomes the main driver for success.

Teams are now the fundamental unit of self-organization, though many teams are still poorly designed and structured, with results that impact negatively the company’s bottom-line, the organizational environment and even its potential for growth and innovation.  Many studies have shown that even a team of kindergarteners can beat a team of MBA students if they are better at interactions.  You can take a team of average performers, and if you teach them to interact the right way, they’ll do things no superstar could ever accomplish. What is this all about? Both Harvard and Google researchers found that the main dimensions that make teams successful is psychological safety as it improve how team members interact.
